Our story so far...

Sustainability

In recent years, the concept of sustainability and responsible growth has gained momentum across various industries, and the accountancy sector is no exception. Embracing an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy at Henderson Loggie is very important to us. Over the last few years, we have been working hard on our ESG strategy and we have four teams who are working on our four ESG pillars; Environment, Community, People and Governance.

Environmental

Team: David Archibald, Steve McNaught

Our Environmental team are working on minimising our carbon footprint by implementing eco-friendly practices such as energy conservation, waste reduction and sustainable procurement. Adopting digital technologies for document management and communication is also important so that we continue to reduce paper usage. But that is only part of the story, our team are currently in the procurement process of finding an external partner to work with us to help us reduce our carbon footprint and help us on a journey to net zero. We will keep this page up to date with how we are progressing on a net zero journey and the steps we are putting in place to help us get there.

Community

Team: Jacqueline Watson, Margaret Linn, Dawn MacDougall, Roz Tippett

Our Community Team are responsible for our Volunteering Programme and setting up the Henderson Loggie Charitable Fund. Each member of staff is allocated one day of Volunteering leave per year and our Community team is currently working on providing a range of volunteering opportunities for our staff to engage with each year. Last year staff used their volunteering time to conduct beach cleans and to volunteer with The Dundee Food Train to deliver food to disadvantaged people across Tayside.

People

Team: Fiona Doctor, Andy Campbell, Emma Tilley, Fiona Allison & Helen Young

Our people team play a crucial role in focusing on the social aspect of our ESG framework, which encompasses, well-being, diversity, and inclusion.  Recently the team have been responsible for creating enhanced policies for maternity, paternity and adoption leave and for introducing the use the pronouns in our communication. They have also created lots of helpful content and resources for staff during Mental Health Awareness Week, Pride Month and Talk Money Week.

Governance

Team: David Archibald & Emma Tilley

Our Governance team, together with our Management Board ensure that we operate in a transparent, ethical, and responsible manner. The Governance team work to establish and maintain effective systems of oversight, accountability, and compliance.
