Charity Connect Event
Wednesday 24th May at the COSLA Conference Centre in Edinburgh.
The seminar, which is specifically tailored to the charity sector, will cover a range of topics including: cyber security and the new GDPR rules, storytelling through case studies and building trust to create legacy & cyber security.
- Steve McNaught, from Henderson Loggie’s IT Audit Team will offer insights into the risks and responsibilities charities face when confronted with cyber attacks or data security breaches and what charities need to do ahead of the new GDPR and data protection rules which will come into play next year.
- There are many charities that are using storytelling in powerful ways to inspire volunteers, engage donors and motivate campaigners. Storytelling through case studies have the power to change organisations and Kevin Anderson from The Story Edge will provide guidance on how you can produce case studies that engage your audience and build trust.
- Charities have historically enjoyed a high degree of public trust in the UK, however over the past couple of years, they have faced increased media attention from failures in Government to poor fundraising practices.
