We’re excited to share that due to our continuous growth, we’re on the lookout for a new member to join our team as a Grants Co-ordinator, based in our Dundee office. Our Grants Team manages a diverse portfolio of grants for prestigious public sector and commercial clients throughout Scotland.
As Grants Co-ordinator you will be overseeing the management, compliance, and reporting of grant-funded projects along with providing guidance, training, and support to both clients and internal teams.
As a Grants Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and allocating work to the audit team, ensuring that they understand their responsibilities, and supporting the team from planning through to completion
- Review completed fieldwork from the Grants team, ensuring all review points are addressed before final submission for sign-off
- Providing quality, timely feedback at the end of assignments, identifying any areas needing further development and giving positive and constructive feedback to ensure improved future performance
- Liaise with clients and grants team to plan existing and future grant-funded projects
- Participate in client training sessions and initial meetings with new clients to clarify guidance and requirements
- Address client queries related to grant-funded projects as needed
- Offer advice and guidance on project rules to the team involved in grant work
- Determine appropriate sample sizes and select samples, coordinating with both the client and the team
- Conduct onsite fieldwork at client locations as required
- Attend relevant training courses and share knowledge with staff involved in grant work
- Contribute to tenders for grant-related work
- Leverage existing networks to identify and develop future tender opportunities for similar projects
Now, let’s talk about you!
The successful candidate will be:
- Fully qualified (CA,ACCA, CIA or equivalent),
- Strong background working on grant claims, in particular Innovate UK and EU grant claims
- Minimum two years of experience in accountancy practice, ideally in audit
- Part-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
- Previous experience of delegating work to and coaching trainees essential
- Good technical and client interfacing skills
- Strong IT and report writing skills
- Excellent organisation skills with ability to work to tight deadlines
