Grants Manager

As we continue to grow, we are delighted to invite applications for the role of Grants Manager based in our Dundee office. Our Grants Team manages a diverse and dynamic portfolio of grant-funded projects for esteemed public sector and commercial clients across Scotland.

In this role, you will take a lead in overseeing the management, compliance, and reporting of grant-funded projects, while also providing expert guidance, training, and support to both clients and internal teams, ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance.


  • Act as the main point of contact for grant-funded clients, ensuring effective communication, client onboarding, and understanding of grant compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with client grant teams to support seamless planning and execution of current and future grant-funded projects.
  • Offer clear and accurate advice to both clients and grant audit staff on grant rules, compliance standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Carry out on-site fieldwork and review completed audit files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before final sign-off.
  • Establish audit sample sizes in consultation with Responsible Individual (RI) and communicate these to relevant parties.
  • Allocate grant audit tasks, monitor progress using job trackers, and ensure audits are completed within deadlines.
  • Contribute to tender proposals, identify new opportunities, and help grow the firm’s grant audit services.
  • Represent the firm positively through high standards of conduct, contributing to its strong market reputation and internal culture.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified (CA, CIA or equivalent),
  • Strong background working on grant claims, in particular Innovate UK and EU grant claims
  • Minimum two years of experience in accountancy practice, ideally in audit
  • Part-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
  • Previous experience of delegating work to and coaching trainees essential
  • Good technical and client interfacing skills
  • Strong IT and report writing skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with ability to work to tight deadlines
