After graduating with a BA(Hons) in Applied Economics from Dundee Institute of Technology, now University of Abertay, Dundee, Iain was employed as an economic researcher in various universities throughout the country including Liverpool, St. Andrews and Dundee where his main interests were in macroeconomics and regional economic development.
Ian will provide an Economic update and how things may look going forward.
Christine is a forensic accounting specialist with over ten years’ experience. She was an integral part of the Scottish forensic accounting team in a top-five UK accountancy firm, before then going on to spend four years working as a forensic accountant for HMRC.
Chrstine will talk through understand Furlough and Bounce Back Loan Fraud. She will also answer questions with Shona Campbell, who heads up the Business Recovery and Insolvency team at Henderson Loggie.
Fiona has over 20 years’ experience in providing HR advice and consultancy services to a wide range of industries, including; professional services, manufacturing, media, marketing, oil & gas and manufacturing businesses. She also spent 7 years working within the HR team at the BBC in London.
She will talk through handling retention and managing this in the new way of working.
Gin Lalli is a Solution Focused Psychotherapist based in Edinburgh. She helps people to eliminate anxiety, stress and depression by understanding the science behind how the brain works and employing the latest evidence-based techniques of positive psychology and neuroscience.
Gin Lalli will talk about the science behind how the brain functions during anxiety, stress and depression. An accumulation of negative thoughts over time can mean that we feel overwhelmed and out of control. Understanding the biological process that causes this enables us to manage these symptoms and feel better both mentally and physically.
