What are the Henderson Loggie Business Leader Groups?

Individual accountability and improved probability of strategy implementation success is achieved by embedding new business tools into day to day practices.
Support from a business adviser to capture and track your strategies and actions.
Ongoing online coaching sessions for specific mentoring around a business challenge or opportunity.
Business Leader Peer Community
Access to a network of business leader peers online and in workshops to encourage sharing of ideas, best practice and promote collaboration.
You must be committed to growth for you, your staff and your business.
Value to others
The more you do for others, the more successful you will become. The BLG is about sharing your business experiences and learning from other business leaders who have faced similar challenges.
Engagement is key to the success of the groups. You must be committed to attending the quarterly workshops and engage with other members of the group. You must also demonstrate that you are willing to use business tools to develop and improve your business.
You must be open to new ideas, new concepts and be receptive to feedback from others.
The BLG is a place to be held to account to support your growth. You must be committed to progress.
We regularly invite business leaders and owners to attend one workshop as part of the on-boarding process, but you can also apply to join, as many of our members have. The on-boarding is a four-step process.
You must be invited or apply to join. To apply please send your name, organisation, contact details and reasons for wishing to join the BLG to firstname.lastname@example.org

Attendance at one of our quarterly groups. This is an opportunity for you to find out if the group is right for you and if you are a good fit for the group.
Follow up call/meeting to provide feedback from both perspectives and join the group.
Why did we create the BLG?
We found that businesses leaders and owners often feel lonely in the top job and need an environment to discuss their business in a confidential but informal environment with experienced business facilitators and business peers.
How much does it cost?
It costs £250 per month, which can be paid monthly or quarterly. We work on the basis that for every £1 you pay you get the value of £5 in return. Our groups are carefully selected, you can’t just pay to join, you must be invited and then successfully complete the on-boarding process.
A word from some of our members…
The BLG gives me an opportunity to discuss the challenges that I face in my role with people who face similar problems.
Stuart Mills, Managing Director, STAR Dundee

Being part of the BLG provides me with an effective framework for contextualising any issues I encounter. It gives me access to a tried and tested suite of tools that help me identify and solve key problems and I have confidence in knowing that these tools and techniques I’m using are being constantly reviewed, tested and replaced in line with industry leading thinking.
Having a network of likeminded business leaders I can discuss issues with and help brainstorm new solutions is invaluable. I also use the workshops and mentoring sessions to hold myself accountable to delivering real change within my business.

The BLG provides me with the opportunity to think about strategy without the usual distractions, keeps me informed about the latest developments in leadership and gives me a forum to meet other business leaders who are faced with similar challenges. It give me access to online tools and provides me with new skills and techniques to pass onto staff.

Learning in a group environment is of huge benefit to me. There is always something new, whether that be in business strategy, leadership or change management. The business tools that you learn from being part of the group are very practical and can be implemented into your business easily and effectively and have delivered significant return on investment for the business.
