Welcome to The First Tuesday Club!

Our club is an online networking group with the purpose to learn, grow and network.

The club will take place on the first Tuesday of every month at 11am for 45 minutes. We have a fantastic line-up of speakers and topics and each event will also feature a short break out session for you to meet fellow First Tuesday Club participants. 

The event is aimed at business owners and those in senior management positions. It is free to attend but you must register in advance. 
 
We have had a fantastic response to our first event with over 100 people registered, so make sure you get your place booked for October.

📌 Michele Aean, Managing Director, Drone Scotland

In this month’s session, we will hear from Michele Aean, the Managing Director of Drone Scotland. Michele is the creative mastermind behind Drone Scotland with an Honours Degree in Film and Media studies including a year at Film school in the USA. Michelle will share with us her leadership journey, what leadership traits she thinks are important in today’s world, what she has learned from 2020 and what inspires her.

Drone Scotland is an award-winning aerial photography and film company who work across Scotland, the UK and internationally. They specialise in aerial inspection, thermal imagery, 3D modelling and corporate, residential and construction photography and filming.

📌 Practical wellbeing & The House of Four Rooms – Karran Bonner

At this month’s event we will be covering the concept of the House of Four Rooms with guest speaker Karran Bonner (Brightside). Karran is passionate about all things people and performance related. She runs a people development business focused on enhancing wellbeing, health and happiness.

The aim of the session is to provide you with some practical wellbeing tips and tools that you can utilise straight away. Karran will share with you techniques that can help you control elements of your wellbeing. The concept of a House of Four Rooms is based on the four different areas of health including: Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Wellbeing. You will tend to lean more towards one of these areas than others and the theory is that we need to go into each of these rooms at least once a day to be fully in balance. All will be revealed during the session.

📌 Sheryl Newman, Managing Director, Appetite for Business 

In this month’s session we will hear from Sheryl Newman, the Managing Director of Appetite for Business. Sheryl received the Business of the Year honour at the ASB National Business Awards. Appetite for Business is an IT learning and data provider specialising in management, data management and learning programmes, with particular emphasis on Microsoft products.

Sheryl is an inspiring business leader and we are delighted that Sheryl has agreed to share her leadership journey with us.

📌 Mental health in the workplace – Gin Lalli

At the first event, we heard from Gin Lalli. Gin is a Solutions Focused Therapist who helps people regain control of their lives by explaining the science behind how the brain functions and by employing the latest evidence-based techniques of positive psychology and neuroscience. She’s also known as the ‘Stress-Bucket’ girl…if you’ve seen her signature presentation you’ll know why! 

In the session Gin discussed stress and mental health in the workplace, how COVID19 and lockdown have changed the way we work forever and what the future workplace will look like.  She also looked at why we feel anxious, stressed or depressed and what we can do about it. COVID19, lockdown and remote working have now made mental health a top priority and we must turn awareness into action. We were delighted to have Gin speak at our first event, thanks Gin!
