Investing in an accountant is something people might put off, but it is worth doing.

Our first accountants made everything seem quite daunting, but once we found Henderson Loggie who have games industry experience, it really helped clarify things and made us feel confident on the finance side.

Since 2019 I have been Head of our Games & Digital Sector group, looking after both well-established businesses and new business startups in the gaming sector. I am a Partner at Henderson Loggie and am responsible for accounting and tax requirements for a wide variety of small and medium-sized businesses.

My gaming days go back as far as my first ZX Spectrum in the mid-1980s, but my accounting and tax knowledge has progressed faster than my gaming skills since then.

I am a member of the firm’s Games and Digital sector group and I am a Corporate Tax Manager, specialising in assisting games companies with Video Games Tax Relief and Research and Development Tax Relief.

I have been an avid gamer since playing Crash Bandicoot and FIFA on my first PlayStation back in 1997. I enjoy being part of the growing games sector in Scotland and providing support to the next generation of talented developers.
