Our Internal Audit Team
Joining our Internal Audit team means being part of a dynamic part of the business that is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our clients. We are actively managing a varied portfolio of internal audits for a wide range of prestigious public sector, commercial, and charity clients, based throughout Scotland.

What the role will involve:
- Plan and lead end-to-end internal audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
- Asses key risks and controls to establish a focused audit approach.
- Conduct detailed testing of controls, identifying weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure audits are delivered on time and within budget, proactively managing any challenges or risks.
- Prepare clear and well-structured audit reports, summarising findings and presenting practical recommendations to clients.
- Engage with clients throughout the audit process, maintaining strong communication and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Review and quality-check own work, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal audit standards.
- Act as a first point of contact for trainees assisting with technical queries and problem-solving.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking an Internal Audit professional with a strong track record in the field. A recognised qualification (CA, CIA or equivalent) is preferred; however, part-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Proven internal audit experience
- A background in coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Excellent technical knowledge and client-facing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- A collaborative approach and effective teamworking skills
- Exceptional organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality

There will be a requirement to travel to and work from client sites across Scotland (and occasionally in England and mainland Europe).
