I lead our VAT advisory team, ensuring that we meet the needs of clients across all sectors – notably property & construction firms, charities and a wide range of SMEs.  Having spent 16 years with HM Revenue & Customs carrying out VAT assurance visits for a wide range of businesses, I have gained considerable experience of HM Revenue & Customs inspections. Particular technical insights cover partial exemption, capital goods schemes as well as corporate transactions and general compliance. 

I can help with planning opportunities for VAT efficiency and can advise our clients on potential retrospective reclaim opportunities, securing significant VAT repayments.

I am a consultant in our VAT advisory team, advising clients across Scotland on VAT matters for 4 years. My role is varied and includes advising / training staff within a wide range of organisations, from large established businesses to SMEs to charities (including independent schools).
